Week 82 - Mama I'm comin hooome

what if he wants you to be confused? To be scared? What if he asks you to feel alone for a second? Or be unsure for a moment? And if He tells you to wait patiently? What if he wants you to stay?

Something I like is that vulnerability is a Christ-like attribute. Jesus was the most vulnerable ever, doing nothing but showing honest love to anyone and everyone, no matter if they'd reject it or not. Vulnerability is the price to pay, the risk to take, if you want to share raw, real, open love with others. Vulnerability is humble because it values someone else more than ones own reputation, whether that reputation be in the eyes of 100 people or just 1 person. 

Visited Suzette and she taught me how to make banan pèse & piclis [idk how to spell it] & chicken (in short, Haitian food) and man I love that woman

SR MONTEIRO FLEW UP FROM FRENCH GUIANA CUS WE GOIN HOME THIS WEEK AHHHH IT'S BEEN SO FREAKING FUN WE FLYIN TO BARBADOS!!!!!! Its been so wack cus sr Kimpe and sr Monteiro grew up in the same ward, and sr Monteiro and I served a lot together before sr Kimpe got here, so it's like the ultimate crossover episode

Week 81 - "How could the Father tell the world of love and tenderness?... He sent His son"

Many great good moments this week, lots of "tender mercies". At the end of a lesson with Aduché, he ran inside and then grabbed nail polish and gave it to us just cus he wanted to give us something, it was very wholesome. He, Mick, and Mathieu plan to get baptized these next couple of months, that's really great

Ether 2:7 " And the Lord would not suffer that they should stop beyond the sea in the wilderness, but he would that they should come forth even unto the land of promise, which was choice above all other lands, which the Lord God had preserved for a righteous people "

^ the Lord plans to take us further than we could ever imagine, He doesn't want us to have just some joy here and there, but He intends to take 100% of us 100% all the way to our own promised land

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. " God is really nice, God is kind

Had zone conference 

also byu vocal point showed up on Saturday so there was some Mashup with the Adventists that we attended at a catholic cathedral that was cool

YOLENE AND HER TWO SONS CAME TO CHURCH! Yolene is an inactive member that I've been visiting for almost NINE MONTHS NOW. and she finally came to church, because we started reaching her two boys (12 and 13 I think) so she pulled up to church with them. LET'S GOOOO

Week 80 - Have I fouuuund youuuu fliiiightleeeess biiiird

"The hardness of God is kinder than the softness of man"

I'm infinitely grateful that the Lord has taught me how to open my eyes and see the good in what's right in front of me

The "why" of Jesus Christ is you 

I was reading in Mormon this week and I just really really love his writing, to me it's really good and poetic he's so good with words

In Sœur Kimpe's high-school English class they learned "pumped up kicks" and sang it as a class

 

Obedience is supposed to open your eyes, not close them 

"And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written" I've spent the past 18 months seeking that very same Jesus, and I've found Him. At the beginning of this week, I especially noticed that. And it was because I had many spirit-saturated moments with people where I was like hey this scripture, or hey that quote, or hey this experience, and then after, commend[ed them] to seek this Jesus of whom the [Sœur Felt has testified]. Nice

He who fails and tries again

CHURCH WAS THE ULTIMATE CROSSOVER EPISODE! MICK (Mike) WAS THEIR AND THEN MATHIEU PULLED UP WITH Aduché (GAVE HIM A RIDE!!!) WHAAAAT AND THEN THEY ALL HAD SUCH A GOOD EXPERIENCE and now Mick wants to get baptized let's goooo (took a pic with the three of them) 

Shout out to my new old friend Shika (we go way back, I'm talking premortal life yo), she showed up on vacation with a mouthful of answers to my prayers. Really really crazy. Weird that this is the 2nd time in the past 30 days that this has happened. WHAAAAAT

Week 79 - 18 months

I have 2 nickels. 

Something I learned is that God is acting every single second to bring us to the goal of being perfect. Our free agency, with every choice we make, is simply this: either we let Him do that, or we dont

It's as if God said "this is my work and my glory, I want to make you perfectly happy, perfectly joyful, perfectly you. So I'm going to do everything I possibly can to accomplish that. And I'm going to give you a gift: you have the choice to prevent me from doing that. You can be whatever you want to be, it's according to your desire. And to help direct your desire, I'll give you a law" so when we respect that law, we express our desire to God that we want to let Him change us, that we accept His power that He so anxiously wants to give us.

Yeah, its all about desire. Christ's mission simply was to realise our desire, of either good or bad. Do you want to let Him change you? Perfect, He can do that. Do you want nothing to do with Him? Perfect, He won't force anything on you. And He's really nice too.

Also, I have a new companion, her name's Sœur Kimpe she's from France and she is one of the biggest miracles of my mission. I can't even describe it but it was like the second we were together we were like "" cus life is just so good together and idk. It's like even if we'd never met as companions on a mission, if we'd met at a party, we'd still respect the rule of "sight and sound". I hope you get the joke, but if not, just know that she is making the end of my mission the best thing ever. Heavenly Father has been really kind to me, I love my Heavenly Father
