This guy in our branch frère Maugran is just a French Caribbean jarjar binks The absolute mec. He's the missionary coordinator or whatever but it's funny cus he's so wack that I can just rip into him and he'll just do it back. In a good way don't worry, but he keeps like psychoanalyzing me and it's scary

Week 29 - LA GRÈVE MAKAFANA LA GRÈVE !

1 JOHN 4:17-19

"Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us."

Im a pretty fearing person, pretty much always scared. But something I learned that I hope you all learn is that by saying "I can do this hard thing because I love God" is good but not enough and will never be enough. We need to know "I can do this hard thing because God loves me". I can't do anything unless I let God help me. And hope you guys don't have to be humbled to come to know that, if you don't already.

This week was uhhhh yes!

I just played soccer with only some of the elders and it was SO fun, so I'm really happy as I right this email

Yesterday we had a miracle actually! This lady Aphnaëlle saw our Bondye W Fidèl Facebook ad (creole ad) and we got in contact with her a while back, but we went to her house and met her in person yesterday, and WOW. She's Haitian and has lived here for about 4 years, and she told us en bref that she was GOING THROUGH IT and she hopped on Facebook and saw our ad and she was SO MOVED that it was in creole cus it reminded her Haiti and she got chills all over and rewatched the video 3 or 4 times and yeah. Then she deep dived into her problems and it was cool cus she was saying things that I was going through myself! Let's pray this lady gets BAPTIZED! Covenants are cool. I shouldn't say lady, she's not old like that she's in her early 20's.her baby is freaking annoying tho it's 3 and it cries if it doesn't get what it wants. Just chill bébé

Week 28 - Plumbers log #412

Well the transfer has come to an end, and quite literally only 2 people on the entire French side are moving around. So that's cool. We're gonna be getting a new missionary, he's from Tahiti

Next transfer is when everything is when president is gonna fruit basket the heck out of the French side. That's not mission slang, there's just that one game called fruit basket where everyone gets up and runs and changes seats and I like that game

We've been focusing on meeting with less active members, and we met with 2 this week that were both Haitian, so that was freaking awesome and I got to practice creole! Felt really rewarding to speak Creole with them. blessings blessings. They always have the craziest life stories and the strongest beliefs. Haitians are the best

Life's going, it's going, ça va

Everybody pray that we can get a stake in this mission so one day we'll have another temple in the Caribbean, hopefully on one of the French islands. Seriously they have to buy a plane ticket whenever they wanna go to the temple

The spirit isn't gonna be foreign, hes just always with you so hes always saturating your thoughts and most of the time you don't notice. I like to think of prompting as "twitches" in your soul, ideas or feelings SO tiny, but they're there. For example, I wanted crackers when I was just shopping but I couldn't find them and as I was headed to an isle and was like PLEASE I NEED THESE CRACKERS I got that twitch and then at the end of the ilse they were there. See, something so simple that I could be like okay??? Duh I would've found them anyways. But I choose to recognize that twitch to be what I know it to be, the Holy Ghost. Cus I trust the promises God made to me when I was baptized. What about you?

Best way to grow that trust is to get to know not only the promise, but the promiser. Learn a little
