Week 9 - Sorry

Sorry guys something messed up and my normal email didn't send. All you need to know is we have this family Veronique, Frédéric, and their daughter and they are a miracle family and they are Parisian and perfectly positioned. They will be baptized mark my words. I'm sad the email I typed up about this got lost. Because it was good. And God send us straight to them (we met them and found them this week) and they are like so so so very much wanting to learn of the Gospel. I had the whole story typed out but I guess it's gone. But point is God is good

Week 8 - I don't know what I would've done for a dollar

Well everybody how is it going

This week we met a Haitian Elect. What is Haitian Elect you ask? Just any Haitian that you teach. Because they all have been through so much so they accept the Gospel like none other. The lady we met is Fontania and she has 3 little crazy daughters and she's exhausted but then you could see it touched her soul when we talked to her so yeah she was gonna come to church with us but then her daughter caught the grip. Aka the sickness people get when you invite them to church. All jokes, shes still wanting to meet with us. Also, there's lots others we teach too. But I specifically lvoe Fontania. And I have to learn Haitian Creole for her and everyone else I will teach so yeah there's that. I'll include pics of Haitian creole compared to French so you can see how wack it is.

I love Twilight so much. I miss it so much. But not in a sad way. Just in a Twilight way. I've retold Twilight lore to everyone I can. Even in district counsel. When we ride our bikes at night I imagine Edward and Jacob and all those people in the trees by me it's awesome. I love Twilight

We met an American at the mall! It was so weird. Because nobody here is from America. Nobody! They're all natives or French. So yeah. But he was from Kentucky and in summary, said he loves being republican, football, and "speaking American". That was a fun interaction

Today we did a sisters only pday and took a boat to a little island and lived the Mamma Mia life. It was so fun. Pics included.

I also got my hands on a guitar in a store it was soooooooo awesome to play but I didn't buy it because at any transfer I could have to go to another island then I'd have to leave the guitar. Saaaad

The members here are awesome. We all talk and hangout after church for like an hour because it's chill like that. Some members even knock doors! EVERYBODY FORGET YOUR SOCIAL NORMS AND ADOPT GOD'S NORMS!! WHO CARES ABOUT YOUR HUMAN PERSPECTIVE!!! BE A BOOK OF MORMON CHARACTER!!!! 

There's not much more to say I don't think, I'll probably remember something else later and be like dang I should've said that.

I will say this, something important to remember is the mercy of God. God is no more merciful than He is just, but He is also no more just than he is merciful. You have to remember that. Show yourself mercy. PERSECUTION FOR LACK OF PERFECTION IS NOT PROGRESSION. I just made all that up, isn't that fire? Why am I not a general conference speaker where Instagram people make cute little quotes of what I say?????

Jk at the end of the day I didn't make any of it up. I just had it revealed to my by the Spirit. Aka I learned it. Have a nice week everybody.

First things, shout out to district 20-F theyre going to Tahiti TOMORROW! But extra shout out to Elder Rolfson. Coolest Elder to ever exist.

Sœur Frey and I (my companion) pass the time by me talking non stop and her listening because she is forced to (unless we are having a logical discussion, then it's equal talk and listen). But the biggest thing ive done right now to pass the time for her is narrate a romance enemies to lovers slowburn typa book for her outloud. In simpler terms, Wattpad. HEEHEEHEEHAW. I make it up as i go and its so funny. Example- me talking outloud: "You wake up in a lush palace bed. The sunlight is seeping through the sheer curtains. 'Y/N!' You hear your dad, Snoop Dogg, the king, call to you." So I have a whole storyline going with that and its actually SO FUNNY I get all the tropes in. And sœur Frey is into it because she has no other option but to listen. Like for example, last night my bike broke so we walked home in the jungle in the pitch black and i narrated chapter 5 of the story for a whole hour. She screamed at the plot twist.

OH MY GOSH EVERYBODY LISTEN TO THIS!! So turns out people are actually so cool. Sœur Frey and i were just knocking on some doors at a Haitian apartment place thing and there was a HUGE group of guys drinking smoking and doing all sorts of stuff. And we were like hmmmm do we avoid them? As any sane woman would? Then we were like well i dont feel a "no" so we went over and were like bonsoir comment ca va then they were actually the coolest people ever. It was so funny, just two white girls from Utah standing in the midst of drugs and all that good stuff, just talking about God with a gang because why not? They were so cool. They totally couldve killed us (or worse, expelled!) right then and there in that corner if they wanted but they didnt! Sicka

I need a guitar so so so bad.

I have started a ur mom joke epidemic. I cant stop saying them and now the elders have started to join in. Funny thing though, after every ur mom joke i make, i give myself a high five in honor of Elder Rolfson because i would high five him after every ur mom joke i make and vise versa (but he is not here now cause hes in the mtc), but the elders dont know thats what it means so they just clap their hands after every ur mom joke they make. How funny.

Okay okay back to Guadeloupe.... ah yes. So its France. Legit, France. As in the uncommon ish occasion that you see a white perzon, they are from France. Basically Guadeloupe is to France, as Hawaii is to the USA. Everyone here just refers to France as the city and yeah. So im living in France but also Africa at the same time. Its wack! But i LOVE THE FRENCH FOOD SO MUCH! And Milka... God loves me everybody.

Hmmm quoi d'autre....

Oh juice is so huge here. They make so many juices and they're SO good. Also, they can sing like none other. I also sing. I ride my bike and sing All Too Well-Taylor's Version-10 Minute Version. It's so fire. Especially when i get to "AND I WAS NEVER GOOD AT TELLIN JOKES..." you best believe I'm living the good life.

Oh I went to English Connect (we teach English to the locals for free) but in a different area because i did exchanges (switched companions for the day) and i started an argument about if Nikki Minaj is better than Rihanna. It was great! Honestly I couldn't care less about it, but I knew one of the Elders LOVES Rihanna and I felt bored so I shared lies about how I do not like her.
