ALLÔ OUI BONSOIR !?
We don't have much time so listen close
1. We switched apartments and areas with the Petit Bourg Elders mid transfer. Our apartment? DISGUSTINGLY GRODYYYYY. Not in a nasty germ and dirt way. But as in there's so much junk and clutter that it's hard to walk in some rooms because of the piles that have accumulated over the transfers. BUT! Sœur Toussaint and I's thing is all about improving everything we come across. So many hours have been out into cleaning it out this week. And it's looking great!
2. We're gonna start teaching veroniques daughter Eléonore because Véronique wants to fr get baptized but Eléonore just recently said she doesn't believe in Catholisicm and so veronique doesn't want to confuse her by throwing another religion into the mix, but she actually just didn't know what to do. So I said how aboit we ask Eléonore if we could teach her too? She said yes! So I asked her and she hit us with a firm "oui". She's 12 btw
3. These week Sœur Toussaint and I went to some random apartments to find people to teach. We both saw this lady at the same time and started running. We followed her discreetly around a corner. We didn't know why until we caught up to her. She was at the doors of the apartment and it was locked, and you have to have someone inside open it for you, and she was on the phone with someone who opened the door for her. So we were able to get into the apartment!!! We get in and then I knew I just had to speed through every door. Cus the spirit said. So I was knocking and moving on at an abnormally fast pace. Then the spirit talked to Sœur Toussaint. She turned to me and said "we need to talk to someone outside" so we went outside and hurried around the corner just following the spirit and sœur Toussaint spotted this lady getting into her car so she hurried to her and was like wait! We're missionaries for our church can we meet with you some time! And introduced us. Then the woman was shocked. She said she had just been crying 10 minutes ago because her life was really really tough at the moment. Then Sœur Toussaint gave her a hug and the woman started crying Again and said "Jesus just sent you to me. Please call me." and gave us her number. Wow! Sœur Toussaint later told me (maybe crying while telling the story... Maybe not..) that she saw the look in Angelique (the woman) 's eyes and she KNEW her pain and she KNEW the Gospel of Jesus Christ could bring her joy and that meeting her right there was the greatest miracle of her whole mission. WOOO
4) on our last few days in Lamentin we found this sick meadow by the ocean and we went there in the morning and I played My ukelele... It was the best thing ever. Very light feelings.
5) CUS APPARENTLY THE OCEAN WAS RIFHR NEXT TO OUR HOUSE THE WHOLE TIME?!? AND I LITERALLY HAD NO IDEA??? LIKE LITERALLY JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!! We had lunch one day on this outdoor restaurant with the elders one day there. The ocean laps up the side and a little bit into the dining area!! It was so cool and so good.
6) endure. Endurance. ENDURE. I don't love the idea of enduring at all. It just seems so painful. But I KNOW that it's extremely crucial. So whTeverz going on in your life, endure. And even if you feel like you're bad at enduring, you're not. As long as you're trying, you're doing it perfectly. Because all anyone can ever do is their best. As long as your heart wants God, everything will play out just fine. Relax. Christ died EXACTLY so He could be with you in the hard times, don't push Him away by denying yourself a little self love and grace
7) the English side of this mission is something else I'll tell you that
8) SISTER BICKMORE (Mission presidents wife) YOUR MOM JOKED ME!!!!! I took a .5x pic with her ill put it here
9) we went to a Christmas block party thing and it was sick we all sang Caribbean Christmas songs and Caribbean people can SING!! So it was hype. They turned on all I want for Christmas is you and we went NUTS!!!!
10) 10 because I hate the number 9
