Week 47 - Uhhhhhhhh

Hello

I don't really know what to write for this email because we had the most unexpected week of my entire mission, idk how much I'm allowed to say, but I guess what I can say for now is Sœur monteiro is getting emergency transferred over to French Guiana Wednesday and I'll stay here and help sr Teanuanua ease back into missionary work. Oh huge shout out to the st rose elders for coming to the rescue like every single day this week holy wow they are Lifesavers😿😿

You know I'm feeling good today so this isn't an emo email as I thought it would be a few days back, I'm just gonna make a list of the good happy things, the light happy moments, the "tender mercies" if you will, cus that's what you gotta do, just hold onto the good you can find

-every moment where there was LAUGHTER!!!!!!!!!
-Making a French/English rap with sr Monteiro
-chocolate petit pots (gotta be Carrefour brand)
-God sending us this dude Michael to share the gospel with, literally out of His mercy (seriously my companions were not able to function so we literally did nothing but process what happened for about 3 days straight, and yet at the store amidst NOT doing missionary work (EXPOSED!) (no jk) we found that dude and he was such a huge miracle, he asked so many questions about the gospel and also was like fluent in English because of discord?! To me God was saying "don't worry you're not disobedient for taking care of ur companions first before missionary work you're SUPPOSED to do that")
-gotta be the gift of tongues?!?!? How the frick did I live this week.... IN FRENCH?!nah...
-us showing up at the elders' house to drop of something and them responding with "did you already have lunch?" and then BOOM just like that they'd set up a table and chairs and AN ENTIRE MEAL on their patio and had lunch with us🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲I'm talking soup AND salad, drinks poured for us and all, and we didn't even have to lift a finger?!?! Yeah what the HECK🥲🥲 they are too kind I'm going to die

Idk there's probably a lot more

Elder Uchtdorf said "So, then, what is night? Night is nothing more than a shadow. Even in the darkest of nights, the sun does not cease to radiate its light. It continues to shine as bright as ever." while others live through their dark nights it's really important to give them all the light you can so they know it really is just a shadow and they have hope. Seriously, everyone, please do everything you can to start loving and supporting others (AND URSELF!) INSTEAD OF just throwing solutions or counsel at them when they're at low points. I get that it might come from a place of lvoe, but they do not need that stuff they just need Gods love, and if YOU show them love, you become that Vessel for God to work through. they need light in the dark, not explanations of why the heck it's night time and your argument that the sun will shine soon anyways. Sure you might be right, but the facts and truths don't give hugs or cry with people like Jesus would. Seriously this is so important Look I'll even give you a cheat sheet just to say "I'm sorry this is happening to you" "that's really hard" OR DON'T EVEN SAY ANYTHING JSUT LISTEN that's it that's the move that's all you gotta do how many times do you think Jesus said stuff like "really it's not that big of a deal" or "you'll forget about it in a week" to people He helped? Jesus was perfect, and His comfort and love always seemed/seems to consist of VERY FEW WORDS and MUCH listening, just being there with the person. And yet He's the Savior, the one who fixes people, so why should we, NOT the savior, try to solve others to stop the tears??????

LOVE ONE ANOTHER. That's it, that's the entire point. "Another" includes God, yourself, and all around you. Just love. That's the entire point. If you're not happy, maybe you're not loving one of those 3 enough idk just love

Nayways here's some gwada n'imp pics, happy 13 years of 1D yesterday
