Week 31 - Put off the natural man and belong

We went over and taught Kisha the less active st lucien (so she speaks English) and she was going off about how she's going through a heartbreak because she had to break up with her boyfriend, even though she was willing to leave her husband and children for him. I definitely had to walk out of the room faking a coughing fit. Twice. Look the situation isn't funny at all its really horrible, I was just so shocked I couldn't believe it, and her delivery of it all topped off with her "c'est pas bon ça !"'s really did me in.

And then we had her kids join us to hear the good word you know, Emily who is 10 and Joshua who is 6. AND WHAT THE FREAK they are angels and Kisha was being wack. But yeah we're teaching Emily now cus she's not baptized. Heck yes it was so so cool to teach kids and teach them in English!!! FUN

CONFERENCE WAS SO GOOD WHAAAAT!! I have changed so much its wild.

SONGS HAVE BEEN WRITTEN AND HEARTS HAVE BEEN TOUCHED!!! 

Christ is the only source of belonging and peace that WILL ACTUALLY WORK. Trust me, I've tried many sources and have have tortured myself trying to figure out how I can simply have peace, when the answer truly is simple "not as the world giveth give I unto you". I definitely have been envious of those around me, close and far, of how easily they appear to have peace or joy, and so I've always hung onto that. But that peace and joy only comes when Iet go and realize that God actually PREPARES peace for me, and He gives it to me how He knows I truly need it and will enjoy it. But only if I choose Him, over trying to figure out peace for myself.

Our church almost got lit up, we pulled up on Sunday and there were three guys (that we saw) in triangle formation around the church, all with rifles; scopes and everything.  Sœur Hepburn being Jamaican and having experienced one too many things with guns, was FREAKING OUT and was like GO GO GO DRIVE GET OUT OF HERE and we got outta there. I'll include a pic don't worry it ended well
